The Ohlins BM941 rear shock is a dedicated street unit for BMW R 100 RS, R 100 RT, and R 80 RT models. Built around Ohlins’ STX architecture, it’s designed to deliver consistent damping control and clearer feedback from the rear tyre. The internal layout uses a pressurised gas design to help maintain damping consistency during extended riding.

Tuning controls

This shock provides external rebound damping adjustment, plus external compression damping adjustment. These controls allow you to tailor the shock response to your load, tyres, and preferred ride feel.

Base setup (factory preset)

Supplied with an Ohlins baseline setting intended as a workable starting point for road riding. From there, rebound and compression can be adjusted to suit comfort, support under braking, and rear-end stability through corners.

  • Confirm model compatibility for BMW R 100 RS, BMW R 100 RT, and BMW R 80 RT, and verify rear mono-shock fitment on your exact year/variant
  • Inspect suspension linkages and mounting hardware for wear before fitting a new shock
