The Ohlins CC718 STX 36 Twin is a rear shock unit developed for vintage and classic motocross applications where predictable damping and repeatable feel matter. Built around Ohlins race-derived architecture, it is intended to help maintain chassis control across changing track conditions. This model is supplied as a complete shock assembly with a fitted spring.

Shock design & features

This is a gas-pressurised, oil/gas separated rear shock design intended to reduce fade and keep damping behaviour stable over a ride. The unit is part of the Ohlins STX 36 Twin product family and is delivered with a fitted spring.

Tuning controls

The CC718 provides external damping adjustments for both compression and rebound, allowing you to balance comfort, traction and chassis control for your tyres, pace and track conditions. These adjustments are independent, making it easier to isolate changes when setting up.

Before you install

Set sag and spring preload as part of the setup process, then fine-tune compression and rebound to suit your riding style.
