The Ohlins DMX1215 TTX Flow DV rear shock is built for the KTM 450 SX-F as a rear mono shock replacement. It uses a gas-pressurised damping system intended to keep damping behaviour consistent through demanding riding. Independent compression and rebound circuits are provided to help tailor feel to track conditions and rider preference.

Who this shock is for

Suited to KTM 450 SX-F riders who want a more tunable rear end and improved control for motocross or hard-paced riding. It is also a fit if you are replacing an existing Ohlins unit noted as DMX 0215.

Shock design & features

This is an oil/gas separated, gas-pressurised rear mono shock. The damping layout uses separate circuits for compression and rebound to support consistent control and traction, including when braking hard and driving out of corners.

Tuning controls

Adjustments are provided for compression damping and rebound damping, allowing you to fine-tune response for different track surfaces and rider feel. Spring preload is set via the shock’s preload arrangement; a compatible preload adjuster is listed in the product notes.

Before you install

  • Spring is sold separately; refer to the notes regarding the 06310- series spring requirement.
  • Preload adjuster 15000-02 is noted as compatible with this shock.
  • Use the recommended Ohlins oil as specified: 01304-.

Serviceability/lifecycle

As an Ohlins performance shock, periodic servicing is part of normal ownership to keep damping consistent and internal wear controlled. Maintain clean external condition and address oil leaks or changes in feel promptly.
