The Ohlins STX 46 Supersport rear shock for the Kawasaki ZXR 750 is built around proven race-derived damping architecture to deliver predictable control and consistent chassis behaviour. It is designed to improve tyre contact and rider feedback when the pace increases on road or track. The layout uses separated oil and gas to help keep damping stable as conditions and loads change.

STX Supersport shocks are developed with a focus on clear feel at the tyre and repeatable damping performance. The aim is to give you a rear end that is easier to trust when braking, turning and driving out of corners.

Who this shock is for

Suited to riders of the Kawasaki ZXR 750 who want more controlled rear suspension behaviour than a basic replacement shock can offer. It is a good match for spirited road riding and track use where consistency and adjustability matter.

Shock design & features

This is a mono rear shock in the Ohlins STX 46 Supersport family. It is a gas-pressurised, oil/gas separated design intended to maintain stable damping and reduce fade during harder use.

Tuning controls

The shock provides external adjustment for rebound damping and compression damping. It also includes spring preload adjustment to set ride height and balance for rider weight and intended use.

Before you install

Set sag and spring preload first, then fine-tune damping to suit your tyres and typical surfaces.
Confirm clearance and correct hardware orientation during fitment on the ZXR 750.
After initial rides, re-check fasteners and revisit settings once the bike has settled.

Serviceability/lifecycle

Like all performance shocks, periodic servicing helps maintain damping consistency and seal life. Regular inspection and scheduled oil/seal refresh are recommended, especially if the bike sees track time or wet/dirty conditions.
