The Ohlins STX 46 Street rear shock for the Kawasaki Z 1000 is built to improve control and consistency for road riding. Its gas-pressurised damping layout helps maintain stable damping behaviour as conditions change. The focus is clear feedback and predictable chassis support through everyday street use.

Ohlins road shocks are developed from competition damping principles, then refined for real-world surfaces and street riding demands. The STX platform is designed to deliver controlled movement and dependable feel, without requiring race-level maintenance habits.

Shock design & features

This is a monotube, gas-pressurised rear shock with separated oil and gas to support consistent damping behaviour. It uses dedicated damping circuits intended to keep the rear wheel controlled over bumps while supporting the bike during braking and cornering.

Tuning controls

Adjustment is provided for rebound damping and compression damping, allowing you to tune how quickly the shock returns after a bump and how it resists being compressed. This lets you tailor the ride to road quality, tyre choice, and your preferred feel.
