Shock design & features

This is an oil/gas separated, gas-pressurised rear mono shock using Ohlins’ TTX twin-tube damping concept. The separated gas design helps maintain more consistent damping behaviour during demanding riding where heat build-up can affect feel.

Tuning controls

Adjustment is provided for rebound damping and compression damping, allowing you to refine how the rear reacts over bumps and how it controls chassis movement under acceleration and braking. Spring preload adjustment is also provided to set ride height and sag for rider weight and use.

Before you install

  • Confirm fitment for Triumph Speed Triple 1050 and the noted MKI application.
  • Set sag and baseline adjusters after installation, then make changes one step at a time.
  • Inspect linkage bearings and mounting hardware condition during fitment to get the best result from the shock.

Serviceability/lifecycle
