The Ohlins YA223 STX 46 Street rear shock is built to improve chassis control and ride consistency on the Yamaha Tracer 900/Tracer 9 (FJ-09) and Tracer 900GT/Tracer 9 GT. Developed from proven competition architecture, it focuses on clear feedback, traction and stability under braking and cornering. This unit uses a gas-pressurised damping system to help maintain consistent behaviour as conditions change.

STX 46 Street is a road-focused Ohlins shock family aimed at delivering controlled damping with a wide, usable tuning range. The design is intended to provide predictable grip and confidence across everyday riding and more demanding pace.

Tuning controls

This shock provides external damping adjustments for both compression and rebound, allowing you to tailor support and response to suit load, tyre choice and road conditions. Independent circuits help you tune braking/drive stability without over-compromising ride quality.

Base setup (factory preset)

The shock is supplied with an Ohlins base setting intended as a starting point for the listed Yamaha Tracer models. From there, compression and rebound adjustment can be used to fine-tune feel and control for your preferred pace and surfaces.

Before you install

Confirm model and variant compatibility for your Tracer 900/Tracer 9 (FJ-09) or Tracer 900GT/Tracer 9 GT before fitting. After installation, check sag and then refine rebound and compression settings methodically, one change at a time, to keep the result consistent and repeatable.
