The Ohlins YA735 STX 46 Street rear shock is built for the Yamaha XVS 650 Drag Star, targeting improved chassis control and clearer feedback on the road. It uses a gas-pressurised, oil/gas separated damping design to help maintain consistency as conditions change. Designed as a direct-fit rear mono shock, it provides a solid platform for both everyday riding and more committed cornering.

This shock is supplied with an Ohlins baseline setting intended to suit the standard fitment and typical street riding. Fine-tuning is done via the rebound adjuster and preload to suit load, tyres, and ride feel.

Before you install

Confirm your exact model and year match for the Yamaha XVS 650 Drag Star before fitting
Set static and rider sag using preload before adjusting rebound
Check clearance around the shock and ensure all fasteners are torqued to the motorcycle manufacturer’s specifications

Serviceability/lifecycle
