We still have a “Typenliste”, just one sheet of paper from 1986, which pictures the first 50 ERS part-numbers, all metric & 60mm Inner Diameter. This basic approach was spot-on, as even today these historical part-numbers are part of our complete Eibach Race Spring System though a few differences have to be recognized. Suspension Tuning with ERS - every suspension tune is a compromise! Our ERS System offers race engineers multiple set-up options, making Eibach the leading brand in motorsport springs around the world. Early in a racer's career, they are confronted with the challenges of over or understeer. On one hand, the spring system should be compliant & soft enough to compensate for bumpy roads or tracks. This compliance assures permanent road-contact of wheel & tire guaranteeing grip & traction. On the other hand, the spring system must be firm enough to reduce body roll, squat & dive of the vehicle during cornering, acceleration & braking. Thus, we offer an endless variety of spring combinations utilizing our ERS System:
- 2 (or even 3) ERS Main Springs of different rates can be stacked one after another, resulting in a progressive system - various options are possible in serial hook-up
- 1 main spring with a tender spring (linear or progressive)
