The Ohlins STX 46 Street rear shock for Ducati 900 SS and 1000 SS is built to improve chassis control and feedback in real-world road riding. Shock design & features

This is an oil and gas separated rear shock design to help keep damping consistent during extended use. The STX monotube architecture supports stable damping performance and clear feel at the tyre contact patch.

Tuning controls

This shock provides rebound damping adjustment and compression damping adjustment, allowing you to tailor response for comfort, grip and chassis balance. Adjustments are intended to help match riding style, road surface and loading.

Base setup (factory preset)

The shock is delivered with a factory baseline setup as a starting point for your Ducati. Fine-tuning is typically done after confirming sag and ensuring the shock is operating in the correct part of its stroke for your riding conditions.

Before you install

  • Confirm fitment for Ducati 900 SS and 1000 SS and check overall condition of mounting hardware and linkage bearings (if applicable).
  • Set sag for your weight and typical load, then use damping adjustments to refine control and comfort.
  • If you change spring rate from what is supplied, re-check sag and damping balance.
