The Ohlins HO145 is an STX 36 twin rear shock package for the Honda CB 400 Superfour. Built around Ohlins race-derived damping know-how, it focuses on delivering clear feedback and consistent control for spirited street riding. The design uses a gas-charged damping system intended to maintain stability and feel as conditions change.

Ohlins STX twin shocks are developed to provide controlled movement and predictable traction from the rear of the motorcycle. The HO145 is configured as a rear twin-shock solution to suit the CB 400 Superfour chassis layout.

Tuning controls

This unit provides external damping adjustment for both compression and rebound, allowing you to tune feel and support for your preferred road pace and surface conditions. Spring preload adjustment is also provided to set ride height and sag for the rider and load.

Base setup (factory preset)

The shock is supplied with an Ohlins base setting intended as a starting point for the CB 400 Superfour. From there, small changes to rebound, compression and preload can be used to refine comfort, grip and chassis balance.

Before you install

  • Confirm the motorcycle model and fitment for Honda CB 400 Superfour and rear twin-shock mounting.
  • Set sag using spring preload before making damping changes.
  • After installation, re-check fastener torque and clearance through full suspension travel.
