Shock design & features

This is a gas-pressurised shock with oil and gas separated to help maintain consistent damping during extended riding. The STX 36 layout is intended to reduce fade and keep response predictable as the shock temperature changes.

Tuning controls

The HO831 provides adjustable rebound and adjustable compression damping, allowing you to balance comfort, support and traction. It also includes spring preload adjustment so ride height and sag can be set to suit rider weight and load.

Before you install

Check overall condition of linkage, swingarm bearings and mounting hardware before fitting, as worn components can mask suspension improvements. After installation, set sag and then fine-tune rebound and compression to suit your typical roads and riding pace.
