The Ohlins HO910 STX 36 twin rear shock set is built for the Honda CB1100EX and designed to improve control and feel over a wide range of road conditions. The STX architecture uses a separated oil/gas design to maintain damping consistency as temperatures change. It’s a practical upgrade for riders who want predictable support without compromising day-to-day ride quality.

Ohlins twin shocks for classic and modern-retro platforms focus on stability, traction and clear feedback. This unit is configured specifically for the CB1100EX rear twin-shock layout. It is intended to deliver controlled damping behaviour with the adjustment range to tailor the ride to your load and roads.

Shock design & features

This is a twin-shock rear setup from the Ohlins STX 36 family with a separated oil/gas design rather than an emulsion layout. The internal design is aimed at consistent damping and reduced fade in sustained use. It suits road riding where composure and tyre contact matter most.

Tuning controls

Adjustment is provided for rebound damping to tune how quickly the rear returns after bumps and weight transfer. Spring preload adjustment is also provided to set ride height and support for different rider weight, luggage or a passenger. Together, these controls help you balance comfort, grip and chassis stability.

Before you install

Fitment note: does not fit Thailand version.
Check the lower bushing dimension requirement: 10 x 20 mm.
Confirm correct installation orientation and torque settings per Honda workshop guidance.

Serviceability/lifecycle

Ohlins shocks are designed to be serviced to restore performance as oil and seals age. Periodic inspection for leaks, shaft condition and bushing wear will help maintain consistent damping and extend service life.
