The Ohlins KT1990 STX 46 MX is a rear mono shock absorber developed for the KTM 85 SX. It is built around Ohlins’ STX architecture to provide controlled damping and consistent feel across changing track conditions. Supplied without a spring, it is intended to be matched with an appropriate spring as noted for this application.

Ohlins motocross units are designed with a focus on damping control, repeatability and service access. This shock is an Ohlins STX 46 MX family unit intended for off-road competition use.

Shock design & features

This is an oil/gas separated shock design (not an emulsion type), intended to maintain damping consistency as temperatures and workload change. The configuration is suited to PDS fitment as noted for this model.
