The Ohlins KT801 STX 46 Street rear shock is built to improve chassis control and feedback for KTM 390 Duke street riding. Tuning controls

This shock provides external damping adjustment for both compression and rebound, allowing you to tailor support and recovery speed to your tyres, road surface and riding style. It also features length adjustment to help fine-tune chassis attitude and steering response.

Base setup (factory preset)

Supplied with an Ohlins-fitted spring and an internal valving specification matched to the intended application. If your rider mass, load or usage differs significantly from standard street riding, a spring or internal revalve may be appropriate.

Before you install

  • Confirm sag and ride height after installation to ensure balanced geometry
  • Record your original settings before making changes so you can return to baseline
  • Inspect linkage, bearings and mounting hardware condition to avoid masking suspension performance

Serviceability/lifecycle

Like all performance dampers, this unit is serviceable and benefits from periodic oil and seal maintenance to keep damping consistent. Regular servicing also helps protect internal components and maintain adjustment range over time.
