The Ohlins YA039 TTX RT rear shock is built for Yamaha YZF R6 riders chasing consistent, controlled damping across fast track work and demanding road riding. The TTX architecture is designed to deliver stable chassis behaviour under braking, corner entry and drive. With separated oil and gas, damping stays consistent as temperatures rise.

Developed from Ohlins racing know-how, this unit focuses on predictable feedback and repeatable performance. It is intended as a complete replacement rear shock for the R6’s linkage-mounted mono position.

Who this shock is for

Suited to riders who want a rear end that remains composed when you increase pace, load the tyre harder, or change tyres and ride conditions. It’s a strong match for track days and competition use where accurate damping control matters.

Shock design & features

This is a TTX RT design using separated oil and gas rather than an emulsion layout, helping reduce aeration and maintain damping consistency. The layout supports stable pressure control and clear response to adjustment changes.

Tuning controls

Adjustments are provided for rebound damping and compression damping, allowing you to balance support, grip and stability to suit your setup and riding conditions. The design uses dedicated circuits for compression and rebound control.

Before you install

Confirm fitment for Yamaha YZF R6 and rear mono position before installation.
Set sag and geometry after installation to suit rider weight, tyre choice and intended use.
If you change springs or valving, plan to re-check damping settings and ride height.

Serviceability/lifecycle

Like all performance shocks, regular servicing helps maintain damping quality and seal life, especially with frequent track use. Keeping the oil fresh and the gas charge correct helps preserve the consistent feel the TTX design is known for.
