The Ohlins STX 46 Street rear shock for Yamaha XVS 950A Midnight Star is built to improve damping control and chassis stability for everyday road riding. It uses a monotube architecture aimed at consistent response across changing road conditions. Designed as a direct-fit rear unit, it offers practical adjustability to suit rider load and comfort preferences without overcomplicating setup.

Base setup (factory preset)

Delivered with an Ohlins baseline setting intended to be a safe starting point for typical street use. From there, small changes to rebound and preload can be used to balance comfort, support and stability for your weight and riding conditions.

Before you install

Set preload for your normal riding load, then fine-tune rebound to control wallow and harshness
