The Ohlins HO011 STX 36 Twin shock set is a rear suspension upgrade designed for the Honda CB1100EX, including the Thailand version. Built around Ohlins road-focused damping architecture, it targets improved control and stability without compromising everyday ride quality. This unit uses a gas-pressurised design to maintain consistent damping during extended riding.

Developed from Ohlins competition experience and adapted for street use, the STX 36 Twin format suits twin-shock motorcycles that benefit from modern damping control and dependable consistency. It is intended as a direct-fit solution for the specified CB1100EX applications.

Who this shock is for

Suited to riders who want clearer chassis feedback and more controlled behaviour through braking, corner entry and corner exit. It is also a strong option for those carrying varied loads or riding across mixed road conditions where adjustability helps tailor the bike’s balance.

Shock design & features

This is a gas-pressurised twin-shock arrangement with separated oil and gas to help reduce fade and keep damping stable as temperatures rise. The STX 36 Twin family is designed to deliver controlled response and predictable grip, with valving aimed at street performance and stability.

Tuning controls

Adjustability includes rebound damping and a single combined compression damping adjuster. These controls allow you to refine how the rear settles after bumps and how it resists compression under braking, acceleration and road impacts.

Before you install

Confirm fitment for the Honda CB1100EX (including Thailand version) and check overall shock condition of mounts and bushes before installation. After fitting, set sag and revisit damping settings once you have a baseline ride on your usual roads.
