Tuning controls

This rear shock includes external damping adjustments for both compression and rebound, allowing you to tailor support and feel to your tyres, load and riding conditions. Spring preload adjustment is also provided to set ride height and sag for solo riding or added luggage.

Base setup (factory preset)

The shock is supplied with an Ohlins-developed base setting intended to suit the standard motorcycle in typical street conditions. From that baseline, compression, rebound and preload can be refined to match rider mass, pace and preferred balance.

Before you install

Confirm the bike model/variant and that no other chassis changes (linkage, ride height changes or non-standard swingarm components) affect fitment. After installation, set sag first, then adjust rebound and compression one change at a time to keep the result clear and repeatable.

Serviceability/lifecycle

Like all performance dampers, this shock is designed to be serviced to maintain consistent damping performance over time. Periodic inspection and servicing will help preserve seal condition, oil quality and overall damping consistency.
