The Ohlins KA711 STX 46 Street rear shock is built to improve damping control and rider feedback on the Kawasaki GPX 750 R. Developed from Ohlins race experience, it focuses on consistent behaviour through a wide range of road conditions. This unit uses a gas-pressurised design to help maintain stable damping performance as temperatures change.

Part of the Ohlins STX 46 Street family, this rear mono shock is intended for riders who want a more controlled, more tunable rear end without compromising everyday ride quality. The internal layout is designed to deliver predictable chassis response under braking, corner entry and acceleration.

Tuning controls

Base setup (factory preset)

The shock is supplied with an Ohlins baseline setting as a starting point. From there, small rebound changes can be used to refine compliance over bumps and control on corner exit.

Before you install

Confirm compatibility with your Kawasaki GPX 750 R and inspect linkage and bearings for wear
Set sag correctly after installation to get the best from the valving and spring
Re-check fasteners and clearances after the first rides

Serviceability/lifecycle

Like all performance dampers, regular servicing helps maintain consistent damping and seal life. Service intervals depend on use and conditions, but periodic oil and seal maintenance will keep performance close to new.
