The Ohlins TTX Flow rear shock absorber is designed for Yamaha WR 450F and YZ 450F riders who want controlled, consistent damping and clear chassis feedback in demanding off-road use. Built around Ohlins’ twin-tube architecture, it aims to keep traction and stability predictable as conditions change. This unit is supplied without a spring, allowing you to match rate to rider weight and use.

TTX Flow technology focuses on maintaining stable damping behaviour through a wide range of inputs, with a feel that supports confidence when the track gets rough or rutted. It’s engineered as a purpose-built performance replacement for the rear mono position.

Tuning controls

This shock provides external damping adjustment for both compression and rebound, allowing you to tailor support, traction and recovery speed to track conditions and rider preference.

Base setup (factory preset)

The shock is supplied with an Ohlins factory base setting intended as a sound starting point. Final setup should be done after the correct spring rate is chosen and installed.

Before you install

  • Confirm you have the correct spring available before installation (spring sold separately; see notes)
  • After fitment, set sag and then fine-tune compression and rebound to suit terrain and pace

Serviceability/lifecycle

As a performance off-road shock, periodic servicing helps maintain damping consistency and seal life. Regular inspections are recommended, particularly if the bike is used in mud, dust, or frequent wash conditions.
