Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid Fork Upgrade Kit

The Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid has a capable KYB 43mm open-cartridge fork, but our ride and dyno testing found there is still significant room for improvement. The standard fork is soft and lacks low-speed damping, while the compression adjuster has very little useful effect through much of its adjustment range.

Improved Low-Speed Control

The Teknik Motorsport fork kit has been developed to improve the area where the standard World Raid fork needs it most: low-speed compression damping. Increased control helps support the front of the bike through braking, weight transfer and larger chassis movements without simply relying on additional spring preload.

Dyno Developed and Ride Tested

Development was carried out using both on-road and off-road ride testing alongside testing on our Rohrig EMA suspension dynamometer. Testing showed that increasing low-speed compression damping produced a worthwhile improvement, while the standard rebound damping was already performing well and did not require the same level of correction.

Set Up for Your Rider Weight

The standard forks use 5.7N/mm springs with approximately 15mm of installed preload. Spring rate is an important part of the complete setup, particularly for heavier riders, luggage and demanding adventure use. We recommend selecting the fork kit with springs matched to your rider weight and typical load so the damping and spring rate work together as a complete suspension package.
