The Tractive X-TREME shock for the Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid uses a closed, pressurised monotube design with a separated gas chamber to keep damping consistent as conditions change. It features a remote reservoir and is built around a 46 mm shock body architecture. This model provides external tuning across key damping circuits plus spring preload adjustment.

Design & features

  • Closed, pressurised monotube shock with separated oil and gas (separation piston) for more stable damping and reduced aeration compared with emulsion designs
  • Remote reservoir configuration to support consistent performance during sustained, rough use
  • Designed specifically for fitment to the Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid

Tuning Controls

  • Spring preload adjustment
  • Rebound damping adjustment
  • Low-speed compression damping adjustment
  • High-speed compression damping adjustment

Base Setup (factory preset)

The shock is supplied with a baseline setting intended to be tuned to rider load and intended use. Final adjustment should be made after verifying sag and ensuring the shock is correctly installed and free-moving through the linkage range.

Before You Install

  • Confirm compatibility with the Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid and check for clearance around the reservoir and hose routing
  • Set rider sag before fine-tuning damping adjustments
  • Inspect linkage bearings and mounting hardware condition so adjustments are based on a sound chassis

Serviceability/Lifecycle

As a pressurised, separated-gas shock, this unit is designed to be serviced to maintain performance over time. Service intervals and set-up should reflect operating conditions (dust, heat, sustained corrugations, and load).

Is It Right For You?

This X-TREME configuration suits riders who want wide adjustability, including independent high- and low-speed compression control, and the consistency benefits of a pressurised remote-reservoir shock for mixed on-road and off-road use.
