Shock design & features

This is an Ohlins STX 46 Adventure rear mono shock with a remote reservoir, separating oil and gas to reduce fade and support more consistent damping. The architecture is aimed at maintaining control under heat and sustained workload, particularly when the bike is ridden hard or loaded for travel.

Tuning controls

Adjustments are provided for rebound damping and compression damping, allowing you to tailor the feel for traction, terrain and load changes. Spring preload adjustment is also provided to set ride height and balance for different rider weights and luggage.

Base setup (factory preset)
