The Ohlins STX 36 rear shock for the Honda MSX 125 (Grom) and MSX 125 (USA-Grom OG) is built to improve rear-end control and consistency in everyday riding and spirited use. Tuning controls

This shock includes external adjustments for rebound damping and compression damping, allowing you to refine how the rear responds to acceleration, braking and bumps. These controls are intended to help match the bike to your riding style and typical road conditions.

Base setup (factory preset)

The shock is supplied with an Ohlins baseline setting as a starting point. From there, rebound and compression can be adjusted to suit rider weight, tyre choice and the feel you are chasing, while keeping the bike balanced front to rear.

Before you install

Confirm fitment to Honda MSX 125 (Grom) and MSX 125 (USA-Grom OG) and check clearance around the shock body and adjusters. Installation should be carried out by a competent technician, with fasteners torqued correctly and the bike checked after initial rides.

Serviceability/lifecycle

Like all performance shocks, regular inspection and periodic servicing will help keep damping consistent. Keeping the shaft clean and addressing leaks or changes in feel early will support long-term reliability.
