Information

The Ohlins DMX1216 TTX Flow DV rear shock is a purpose-built replacement unit for Kawasaki KX 450F applications. It is designed to deliver consistent damping feel and improved control through a gas-pressurised, oil/gas separated architecture. The internal layout uses dedicated circuits to manage wheel movement more predictably across changing track conditions.

Built around Ohlins TTX Flow DV know-how, this rear mono shock focuses on stability, traction and usable feedback. The design targets repeatable performance over long motos by maintaining damping consistency under heat and load.

Tuning controls

This shock includes external compression and rebound damping adjustment, allowing you to balance comfort, traction and support to suit track conditions and riding style. Spring selection is separate, so the unit can be matched to rider weight and intended use.

Before you install

Please note the shock is supplied without a fitted spring (refer to the specified spring series in the product notes). An optional preload adjuster is referenced as compatible in the notes. This model also replaces the earlier DMX 0216 part number.

Serviceability/lifecycle

As an Ohlins race-derived unit, regular servicing and correct oil selection are important to maintain damping accuracy. Follow Ohlins-recommended service intervals and use the specified Ohlins oil listed for this product.
