This STX 36 Blackline twin-shock set is designed around Ohlins’ road-focused damper architecture, with external adjustments to help you balance comfort, grip and stability. It’s a straightforward way to add modern damping control to a classic rear suspension configuration.

Suited to Zephyr 1100 owners chasing better body control and confidence through corners, braking zones and uneven road surfaces. Ideal for riders who want tunability for different loads and riding conditions, including regular two-up or luggage use.
Shock design & features
This is a gas-pressurised monotube design with an external reservoir for separating oil and gas, helping maintain damping consistency during sustained use. As a matched rear pair, it is intended to work as a balanced set on twin-shock applications.
Tuning controls
Adjustments provided include spring preload, rebound damping, and compression damping. These controls let you set ride height support and fine-tune how the rear responds to bumps and weight transfer.
Before you install
Confirm your current linkage and mounting hardware condition, and ensure the rest of the suspension and tyres are in good order so adjustments can be felt accurately. After installation, set sag and then use damping adjustments in small steps, evaluating changes on the same stretch of road.
