The Ohlins STX 46 Street rear shock for the Suzuki GSR 600 is built to deliver controlled damping and consistent feel across real-world road riding. It replaces the stock rear unit with a purpose-built monotube design aimed at improving stability, traction and rider feedback. Adjustment is provided so you can tailor the balance to your load, tyres and riding conditions.

STX 46 Street shocks use Ohlins race-derived damping concepts in a street-focused package. The goal is predictable chassis behaviour and clearer feedback through the rear tyre, especially when riding on variable road surfaces.

Base setup (factory preset)

The shock is delivered with an Ohlins baseline valving and spring fitted for this application. Set sag and preload first, then use rebound adjustment to fine-tune control and comfort for your riding pace and typical road conditions.

Before you install

Confirm linkage, bearings and mounting hardware condition before fitment
Measure rider sag after installation and set preload accordingly
If changing tyres or load, re-check sag and revisit rebound settings

Serviceability/lifecycle

This Ohlins unit is serviceable and can be refreshed with oil and seals as part of routine suspension maintenance. Regular servicing helps maintain damping consistency and protects internal components over the life of the shock.
