The Ohlins SU615 STX 46 Street rear shock is a replacement unit for selected Suzuki GSX 1100 models, aimed at improving ride control and damping consistency on the road. Built around Ohlins’ STX architecture, it focuses on stable, predictable suspension behaviour and tunability to suit rider preference. It’s supplied as a complete rear mono shock assembly.

Ohlins suspension is developed with an engineering-first approach to damping control and durability. The STX 46 Street family is intended for road use where comfort, grip and chassis control all matter. This unit is designed to integrate cleanly as a rear mono shock replacement.

Who this shock is for

Suited to riders who want more controlled rear suspension behaviour than a tired or basic OE shock can provide. It’s a sensible choice if you value consistent damping response over long rides and want the ability to fine-tune feel for your riding style and loads.

Shock design & features

This shock uses an oil/gas separated, gas-pressurised design to help maintain damping consistency as temperatures and workloads change. The STX layout is intended to keep damping behaviour stable and predictable through the stroke, supporting traction and chassis composure.

Tuning controls

Adjustment is provided for rebound damping, allowing you to refine how the rear returns after bumps and corner loads. Spring preload adjustment is also included so you can set sag correctly for rider weight and intended use.

Before you install

Confirm fitment for your exact Suzuki GSX 1100 model and year before installation.
Set sag and baseline damping after installation; incorrect preload can mask the benefits of improved damping.
Check linkage and mounting hardware condition during fitment to ensure smooth shock movement.
