The Ohlins AP320 TTX RT rear shock is built for precise damping control and consistent rear-wheel behaviour under demanding riding. Based on the TTX architecture, it separates damping circuits to help deliver stable chassis response and clear feedback. This unit is designed as a rear mono shock fitment for the Aprilia RSV4 RF (Ohlins FL 930).

Design architecture

This is a gas-pressurised, oil/gas-separated rear shock. The TTX layout uses twin-tube flow paths to manage damping in a controlled way across the stroke, supporting consistent behaviour when the shock is working hard.

Adjustments & what they change

This shock provides external rebound adjustment and compression adjustment to tune how the rear reacts to bumps, load transfer and throttle application. Rebound adjustment primarily manages how quickly the shock extends after compression for drive and stability, while compression adjustment influences support under acceleration and during bump impacts.

Suitability & limits

Intended for rear mono-shock applications where damping consistency and adjustability are priorities, particularly in track-focused use. Final results depend on spring choice, tyre construction and linkage condition, so it should be treated as part of a complete chassis package rather than a standalone fix.

Setup considerations

Start by confirming sag and ensuring the spring rate suits the rider load and intended use, then use damping adjustments to refine grip and chassis balance. If the bike shows squat, harshness or wallow, address baseline geometry and spring first before making large damping changes.

Serviceability & lifecycle

Like all high-performance dampers, periodic servicing helps maintain oil condition, gas pressure and seal integrity so damping remains consistent. Keeping the linkage bearings and swingarm pivots in good condition is also important for accurate setup and shock performance.
