Shock design & features

This is an oil/gas separated rear mono shock built on Ohlins STX 46 Supersport architecture. Keeping the gas separated from the oil helps reduce aeration and supports more consistent damping behaviour as temperatures and loads change.

Tuning controls

  • Rebound damping: Controls how quickly the shock extends after a bump or on corner exit, influencing stability and drive.
  • Compression damping: Controls how the shock resists movement under load, influencing support under braking, initial throttle application and mid-corner balance.
  • Length adjustment: Allows rear ride-height changes to refine chassis attitude and steering response.

Base setup (factory preset)

The supplied baseline settings are intended as a starting point for typical sporty road and track use on an RS 125. From there, tuning is best done in small steps so it’s clear whether the bike needs more support, more compliance, or a different front-to-rear balance.
