Shock design & features

This is a monotube STX-style rear shock with oil/gas separation and gas pressurisation to reduce cavitation and support consistent damping response. It is supplied as a rear mono replacement for the Aprilia RS 125 application.

Tuning controls

The shock includes rebound damping adjustment to manage how quickly the rear extends after bumps and weight transfer, influencing stability and traction on corner exit. Compression damping adjustment is provided to tune support under load and acceleration, affecting squat and chassis attitude. Ride height adjustment is also included, allowing geometry changes to fine-tune turn-in and balance.

Base setup (factory preset)

The factory baseline is set with a Supersport intent, providing a structured starting point for further refinement. Use the adjusters to adapt to rider preference, tyres and conditions rather than to compensate for incorrect springing or chassis balance.

Before you install

If you change ride height, do it methodically and re-check overall chassis balance, as geometry changes can alter steering response and stability. After installation, verify sag and then adjust compression and rebound in small steps, assessing one change at a time for clear cause and effect.
