Shock design & features

This is an STX 46 Supersport rear shock with an oil/gas separated, gas-pressurised damping design (not an emulsion shock). The separated layout helps maintain consistent damping under sustained heat and load, supporting repeatability when conditions and pace change.

Tuning controls

The AP941 provides independent compression and rebound damping adjustment. Compression adjustment influences how the rear resists load inputs such as braking forces and sharper bumps, while rebound adjustment manages how the shock returns after compression, affecting grip, stability and drive on corner exit.

Base setup (factory preset)

The factory baseline is intended as a proven starting point for controlled response and predictable support. From there, adjustments can be refined to suit tyres, riding style and surface conditions.
