The Ohlins STX 36 Supersport rear shock for Yamaha R15 V4 and R15M is built to deliver controlled damping and consistent chassis support under sporty road and track use. Developed from Ohlins racing architecture, it focuses on stability, grip and clear feedback without compromising reliability. It is a purpose-made rear mono shock intended as a direct-fit replacement.

STX Supersport units are designed around predictable damping response and tuning range suited to lightweight sportbikes. The goal is to provide a calmer, more controlled rear end through braking, turn-in and acceleration, with a stronger connection between tyre load and rider feel.

Shock design & features

This is a gas-pressurised, oil/gas separated monotube design intended to maintain damping consistency as temperatures rise. The STX 36 layout supports stable damping behaviour and repeatability under aggressive riding loads.

Tuning controls

External damping adjustment is provided for rebound and compression, allowing you to balance support and grip to suit tyres, track surfaces and riding style. These adjustments are intended to help fine-tune corner exit traction, stability under braking, and overall chassis attitude.

Before you install

Confirm fitment for Yamaha R15 V4 and R15M and inspect linkage bearings and mounting hardware condition before installation
