Shock design & features

This is a gas-pressurised, oil/gas-separated rear shock to reduce fade and improve consistency during hard use. The damping architecture is intended to deliver a stable platform with good compliance, supporting grip without vague movement.

Tuning controls

The YA585 provides rebound damping adjustment and compression damping adjustment, allowing you to tune support and traction to suit your tyres, track surface and riding style. Separate adjustment functions make it easier to make targeted changes rather than chasing a compromise.

Before you install

Confirm your sag targets and linkage condition before fitting, as worn bearings and incorrect ride height can mask the benefits of a high-quality shock. After installation, re-check sag and make one change at a time when tuning so you can correlate feel to adjustment.
